UCC President Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Minner Labrador, Jr., Upper Columbia Conference president, received a lifetime achievement award for his work in men's ministries.

Dr. Minner Labrador, Jr., Upper Columbia Conference president, received a lifetime achievement award at the Adventist Ministries Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The award honors Dr. Labrador for his significant work in men's ministries not only in the United States but also for his work as founder and creator of the globally televised series, Old Man New Man.

"I've been so blessed to be able to point men to Jesus, the only source of real strength," said Dr. Labrador. "This award is a real tribute to God's love and power in my life that has empowered me to serve so many brothers in Christ." 

Dr. Labrador has worked with men's ministries in his role as vice president for ministries and ministerial director in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas. He previously served in the Carolina Conference as men's ministries director and senior pastor of the Sharon Church located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior, he served in the Carolina Conference and in the Florida Conference as men's ministries director and pastor of the Clearwater Church, the Belleview English and the Ocala Spanish Churches and in the city of Miami as a youth pastor. 

While in Florida, Dr. Labrador hosted a daily radio talk show on Divine Direction Live Radio. He is the founder and creator of the men's ministries television series Old Man New Man which can be seen around the world. He has led and pioneered the work of men's ministries across North America for over twenty years.

He is a graduate of Southern Adventist University located in Collegedale, Tennessee, Andrews University located in Berrien Springs, Michigan and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary located in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his doctoral studies with a specialty in redemptive leadership and healthy organizational structures.
